Puerto Rico Open: JT Poston
Fast leaner who has adapted quickly to the challenges of the PGA Tour. Finished 17-27-14 on last three starts.
In truth, I was hoping for slightly bigger than 40/1 regards JT Poston but this is a much weaker field than usual and he has a genuine chance of winning.
The 23-year-old is a player I rated very highlty on the Web.com Tour, he started last season with no status but finished it 10th on the money list. He is clearly a fast learner and we’ve seen that on the PGA Tour.
Poston has finished MC-T66-T17-T27-T14 on his last five starts, which comprises some strong fields competing on difficult courses.
His excellent all-around game is suited to most venues and he finished an encouraging T35 at the Mayakoba Classic, including a third round 64. If he keeps his good run of form going, he should go close this week at 40/1 with Paddy Power paying 1/5 odds for a top-6.
