Nordea Masters Tips: Daniel Brooks
Finished second at PGA Sweden National in 2011 on the Challenge Tour and a recent winner in Madeira.
It has been a strange month for Daniel Brooks. He won his maiden European Tour title in Madeira in difficult circumstances and followed up with missed cuts in Spain and at Wentworth.
The 27-year-old seemed a bit down on himself after failing to get through US Open qualifying on Monday but his first round 71 was good and his late tee-time meant he was out in the worst of the weather.
This week he plays the Nordea Masters and the PGA Sweden National could provide the perfect pick-me-up.
It is a new venue on the European Tour but it hosted The Princess tournament on the Challenge Tour in 2011, when Daniel Brooks finished second to Ricardo Santos.
The Englishman is a talented player and massively overpriced at 300/1 (Stan James). Back him each-way and get ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
