Nacho Elvira A Tasty Price
Finished 2013 as the hottest player on the Challenge Tour. Has taken time adapting to his new status but recent signs are encouraging. T12 at last year’s Open de Espana.
Continuing the theme of backing tour rookies, Nacho Elvira is a big price to win on home soil.
The 27-year-old came from nowhere to gain his card via the Challenge Tour, finishing the season with five consecutive top-10 finishes, including a win in China.
The Spaniard has found life tougher on the European Tour but there are signs he’s getting to grips with his new status, registering good finishes at the Tshwane Open and Trophee Hassan.
Nacho Elvira finished T12 at last year’s Open de Espana and should be comfortable in familiar surroundings. At 175/1 (Bet365) he is a lively outsider with an each-way chance.
