KLM Open Tips: Fabrizio Zanotti

KLM Open Tips: Fabrizio Zanotti

Has two top-5s at the KLM Open and although this is a new venue his ball-striking is on-song.

The KLM Open visits The Dutch course for the first time in its history and it’s difficult to know who will enjoy the Colin Montgomerie designed venue most. With course form non-existent we instead must find players in better form than perhaps their results indicate.

Fabrizio Zanotti only has two top-10s to his name all season but that Paraguayan has been in excellent form of late. In his last five tournaments he’s finished 16-33-34-15-24 but his play has promised even better.

Last week in Switzerland, Zanotti led the field in driving accuracy and was 8th in GIRs, the only thing that held him back was the putter because he ranked 70 in putts per GIR.

Whether the 33-year-old can improve his putting on a new course is a complete unknown, but the KLM Open has been kid to him in the past. He finished fourth last year and was runner-up in 2010. He can win at this level and is a good bet at 45/1 (Paddy Power) with ¼ odds for a top-7 finish.
