The Irish Open and The Greenbrier Classic are the big golf tournaments this week. We look at the latest betting.

Good fields fight it out for honours on both sides of the Atlantic this week. In the States The Greenbrier Classic takes place at The Old White TPC for the second year in a row. The Irish Open is held at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, also for a second time. With very little course form to go on it is the big names that head the market.

Major winners lead the betting for the European Tour event with Rory McIlroy a strong 11/2 favourite. Someway behind are Graeme McDowell 18/1 and Padraig Harrington 20/1.

Ross Fisher is 22/1 to defend his title whilst Open champion Darren Clarke is available to back at 33/1 in the hope he isn’t jaded from his major celebrations.

Over in West Virginia, Phil Mickelson heads the betting at 10/1 after his Open exploits, with Sergio Garcia also looking to capitalise on his good form at 18/1.
