Hong Kong Open Golf Tips: Jbe Kruger
Has finished in the top-25 in his last four tournaments. Playing the golf of his life and Skybet have priced him up all wrong.
He seems like the obvious choice but Jbe Kruger cannot go unbacked at 80/1 with Skybet. The 25-year-old South African is on a hot run of form that has seen him finish 23-13-9-25 in his last four tournaments, the first of which was the WGC-HSBC Champions event.
There were moments when he looked like winning, having opened his last three events with scores of 65-64-65. Although he has faded over the weekends he is still a young golfer and the experience will have been good for him.
Sitting fifth on the European Tour for GIRs shows he has the game for this course. He also has the added bonus of having played the event last year. He finished 38th but was in contention for a better result until a final round 74 dropped him back through the field.
Ladbrokes go a cautious 40/1 but at double the price Skybet offer 80/1 that must be snapped up. This might finally be the time Kruger holds it together all four rounds. Back him each way for ¼ odds for a top five finish.
