Only missed two cuts in 2013 and his consistency should eventually yield a third tour win.
Bernd Wiesberger struggled to match his stellar 2012 and remained winless last season but it wasn’t through a lack of opportunities.
The Austrian missed only two cuts all year making him one of the most consistent players on tour and his stroke average was actually half a point lower than when he was winning in 2012.
It is only a matter of time before the 28-year-old returns to the winners’ enclosure and that could come in Abu Dhabi at a course that should suit him.
A good putter and a long hitter, he finished T21 last year and looks set for another good run at 50/1 (Betfred).
