Omega European Masters Tips: Scott Henry

Finished T4 at Gleneagles last month and won the Kazakhstan Open last season proving he has the temperament to close out big tournaments

When examining the trends of past European Masters champions it was interesting to note how well Gleneagles form translated to Crans-sur-Sierre. The last three winners all recorded top-10 finishes at Gleneagles prior to their wins.

If this trend continues then Scott Henry is massively overpriced at 250/1 (Betfred).

The 26-year-old has really found his feet on the European Tour after a difficult start to the year.  He has made the cut in five of his last six tournaments and finished T4 at Gleneagles.

Normally with players in this price bracket there is a doubt whether they have the temperament to win big tournaments but this isn’t a concern I have with Scott Henry. Last season he won the Kazakhstan Open, regarded as the ‘major’ tournament on the Challenge Tour.

The European Masters is a step up in class but the opposition isn’t intermediating. At 250/1 (Betfred) he is a cracking each-way bet with ¼ odds for at top-5 finish.
