DP World Tour Tips: Thorbjorn Olesen
Forgive his performance in Turkey because he’s got an excellent record in the desert. Finished in the top-5 in Qatar and Dubai at the start of the year.
Thorbjorn Olesen suffered a poor week in Turkey but everyone is allowed one bad tournament and the Montgomerie Maxx Royal can be an acquired taste.
It’s not long since the Dane won in Perth and finished T6 at the HSBC Champions and he’s better judged on that form.
The 24-year-old is one of the longer hitters on tour and he’s enjoyed good results in the desert. Earlier in the year, he finished T3 in Qatar and T5 at the Dubai Desert Classic.
Throw in T19-T21-T17 finishes at the Tour Championship and he becomes and excellent each-way bet at 60/1 (Paddy Power).
