Crowne Plaza at Colonial Golf Tips: Pat Perez

There are not many players with a better record at Colonial than Pat Perez. His last four finishes have been: T10-6-4-T44. It is one of his strongest tournaments of the year and he is another player who likes making birdies.

His previous tour victory was at a similar birdie-fest, he won the 2009 Bobe Hope Classic in 33-under par. Ranking 24th in birdie average and 38th in putting, his game is primed for this sort of test.

Results in 2011 have been inconsistent with three top tens mixed with five missed cuts. However, the best of his form has come in the last month with three top six finishes. After a missed cut at the Players Championship, he should be comfortable returning to Texas. It is the scene of his best finish this season, a fifth place at the Texas Open.
