Colombia Championship: Anders Albertson
Finished T39 in Colombia last year when a 500/1 shot. Finished in the top-25 on last three starts and returns a much better player.
My golf tips might lack for imagination this week but there is good reason to back Anders Albertson for the Colombia Championship. He was my selection last year at 500/1 (finished T39) and although he’s nowhere near that price he’s shown much more form.
The 24-year-old is perhaps most famous for being Georgia Tech teammate of Ollie Schniederjans and he must be inspired by his close friend’s exploits on the PGA Tour.
In his last three starts (spanning the New Year), Albertson has finished T8-T25-T17 and rallied well to finish in the top-20 in Panama after an opening 74. Although early days, he is currently ranked ninth in scoring average and shouldn’t be 100/1.
