Clarke And Glover Share Lead

Clarke Open Leader

The Open Championship is tightly packed with Darren Clarke and Lucas Glover leading by one.

With seven shots separating first from last, the Open leaderboard is compact. The biggest shock is the absence of the top two golfers in the world. Luke Donald and Lee Westwood had tournaments to forget as they missed the cut.

Darren Clarke 14/1 and Lucas Glover 16/1 hold the slenderest of leads at four under par. One shot behind is Martin Kaymer, a previous major winner, he heads the betting at 6/1.

Rory McIlroy is in the hunt at level par and can be backed at 9/1 to win his second major. With Charl Schwartzel 12/1 to achieve the same feat.

It was a good day for the Betting Bias tipster with George Coetzee 50/1 and Dustin Johnson 20/1 sitting comfortably in the top ten on two under par.

With bad weather forecast for the weekend expect a radical shake up in the leaderboard. With such a tricky course to contend with a seven shot deficit is surmountable. The likes of Edoardo Molinari 250/1 and KJ Choi 200/1 still have time to come from last to first.
