Poles Apart

Arguably the biggest disappointment of this World Cup have been Poland. The seeded team in Group H have lost twice already.

As much as we speculate, nobody really knows how sides from different continents stack up against each other until the serious business of the World Cup begins. At that point all is revealed and this one suggests Japan, who top the group with four points, are better than Poland, who are already eliminated without a point to their name.

The interesting thing about Japan’s success is that it has been achieved despite goalkeeping errors against Colombia and Senegal. They could have had maximum points.

Betfred make them a best price 13/8 shot to claim the group spoils with another victory and that looks good considering Lewandowski and co have nothing to play for. Arguably, the Poles have never fully recovered from a 4-0 defeat to Denmark in September 2017. This tournament came after the side peaked.
