When Will Torres Score?

Fernando Torres is still struggling to find the back of the next. William Hill go 7/1 he fails to score in the next five matches.

After failing to score against Blackpool, the bookmakers are the first to get on Fernando Torres’ back, offering 7/1 that he doesn’t score in the next five matches.

“Torres looks more worth 50p than £50 million at the moment, but he is a quality forward. We are expecting him to take us for a small fortune when he does eventually score,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Possibly staring with Copenhagen next week.”

William Hill are betting on when Fernando Torres will score his first Chelsea goal:

4/5 Copenhagen;
5/2 Manchester City;
5/1 Stoke;
8/1 Wigan;
12/1 West Brom;
7/1 None of the next five

Meanwhile his partner Didier Drogba continues to cut a frustrated figure. Whether because of his own poor form or some other unrest, the bookmakers are speculating that he might leave Chelsea in the summer. It is 2/1 he follows Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid and 8/1 he returns home to Marseille. Staying with Chelsea is 6/4 favourite with Victor Chandler.

It would be a surprise to see him pitch up at a Premier League rival next season, with big spending City most likely at 9/1; United 12/1; Arsenal 14/1 and Liverpool 25/1.
