Tuesday Football Preview
Ireland should be ready to party well before 10pm tonight. England have a much more low key date with Sweden lined up.
The Republic of Ireland has the champagne on ice, taking as they do a 4-0 lead into the second leg of their play-off clash with Estonia. The hosts are just 2/5 (PaddyPower) to win again on the night at an expectant Aviva Stadium. If any punters think that complacency will play a part in proceedings they might fancy a bet on the draw (4/1 WilliamHill), or even an Estonia away win at 10/1 (Bet365).
Sportingbet offer 150/1 on the visitors pulling off the greatest comeback in living memory to qualify for Euro 2012. Perhaps backing another 4-0 win for Trappattoni’s side will be more appealing at best odds of 18/1 (Ladbrokes).
England haven’t beaten Sweden in over 40 years but line up as 4/5 (PaddyPower) favourites. The visitors are 4/1 (Coral) to bring Capello’s side crashing back down to earth after the victory over Spain. Bobby Zamora is likely to make his first start for his country; the Fulham striker is 8/1 (Ladbrokes) to open the scoring at Wembley.
