Tottenham v Norwich Tips: Norwich Double Chance

Spurs dropped points at home last weekend but their slide started well before AVB arrived.

Mutterings of discontent in the stands at White Hart Lane might be directed towards Andres Villas-Boas but in truth Tottenham’s decline started before the new manager arrived.

Since the turn of the year Tottenham’s league record reads: P24, W10, D7, L7. It was a slide that ultimately cost them Champions League football and has spread into the new season. The team is going through a transitional stage in terms of personnel and tactics, making the 2/5 (Paddy Power) on a home win deeply unappealing.

The value is to take on Spurs and Norwich look capable of causing an upset. In their last 24 league games the Canaries have taken only nine fewer points than Tottenham, yet are priced at 8/1 (Betfred) for an away win.

The win odds are tempting but Chris Hughton might settle for a draw, leading us to the double chance market. A Norwich win or draw is 2.28/1 with Bodog; we can be safe in the knowledge that any points dropped by Spurs is a winning bet.
