The Magpies have won their last 2 trips to the Lane and seem to raise their game for the TV cameras.
There’s a view doing the rounds that Newcastle players only ‘show up’ when the TV cameras are around. The theory goes that the club is full of mercenaries who perform when they think they’re in the shop window - and that’s it.
