Title Showdown Odds

Mancini: On the verge of glory.

After nine months of battle and all sorts of swings, the 2011-12 Premier League title race will be decided on Sunday.

The two Manchester giants both enter the final day on 86 points each, but City enjoy a crucial eight-goal advantage on goal difference. Mancini’s side simply need to beat QPR at the Etihad Stadium to secure a first top flight championship since 1968. United head to Sunderland praying for a slip-up. Here are the key stats and odds ahead of the final Sunday.

Joe Hart has kept more clean sheets (17) than any other goalkeeper in the league for the second year running. City only team to score (10/11 WilliamHill).

Yaya Toure scored a late winner at Loftus Road in the reverse fixture and bagged both priceless goals at Newcastle last week. Toure to score last (13/2 PaddyPower).

Why QPR could spoil the party:

Mark Hughes has never lost away to City as a manager in the Premier League (W1 D4). Match to be drawn (19/2 BetVictor).

Sunderland v Manchester United:

Why United should win:

The Black Cats haven’t scored in any of their last four league clashes with the reigning champions. United to be the only goalscorers (6/4 bet365).

Why Sunderland could foil United:

United have lost both of their last two away games 1-0 (Wigan and Man City). Sunderland to win 1-0 (20/1 Bluesquare).

The last time Man City won the title they went into the final game of the season level on points with their neighbours, who then lost to Sunderland. Nicklas Bendtner to score first goal (10/1 PaddyPower).
