Blackburn’s beleaguered boss is enjoying an upturn in fortunes as his team move 6 points clear of the relegation zone.
Bottom of the league at Christmas and 1/6 to lose his job, it has been some turnaround for Steve Kean and his team. Having won three of their last five games, Blackburn are now 6 points clear of the relegation zone and 4/1 (Ladbrokes) to lose their Premier League status. This is the biggest price they have been since the start of the season, having reached a low of 1/3 on Boxing Day.
A 50/1 (Stan James) chance to be named manager of the year - a fair price with relegation a continual threat - but the fact he is priced up in the market at all is perhaps an achievement in itself.
