Second Legs Redundant
Tottenham and Inter were both reduced to ten men as they saw their Champions League hopes all but disappear.
The merits of the sending offs will long be discussed but the upshot is that both Spurs and Inter will need miracles to progress to the next round.

Left with an “impossible task”, Real Madrid ran out 4-0 winners. Spurs will need one of the all time great comebacks to progress, but that is a 50/1 chance with Bet365.
Things were not much better at the San Siro. The porous Inter defence were already shipping goals by the time Christian Chivu was sent off. In an end-to-end game, Leonardo’s men were second best, suffering a thumping 5-2 defeat at the hands of Schalke. Their chances of qualifying for the next round are not much better at 25/1.
In the outright market Real Madrid were cut to 3/1, from 9/2; whilst Schalke are now 16/1 from 66/1.
