Redknapp is back in the dug-out

Three teams on form all playing sides much further down the table.

It’s always feels great to get close to evens money on a side that seemingly can’t stop winning. Tottenham fall nicely in that category, eight victories and a draw in their last nine league outings testifies to that. VictorChandler make Redknapp’s top three team 20/21 to claim another three points at WBA on Saturday.

Admittedly, the Hawthornes isn’t the easiest place to go, but Spurs are proving masterful away from home. They have won four of their last five on their travels, and only drew at Newcastle after a late equaliser by Shola Ameobi. Tottenham’s current goal threat is phenomenal; they have scored at least twice in nine league games in a row - their best sequence in nearly 50 years.

Crucially, WBA are looking heavily depleted for this clash. Roy Hodgson has serious doubts over Shane Long, Peter Odemwingie, Graham Dorrans and Paul Scharner. It’s hard to see where the goals are coming from without that lot. There may even be some disharmony in the dressing room after the boss appeared to question the commitment of key striker Odemwingie. The Nigerian striker has resorted to posting pictures of his swollen knee on Twitter to deny allegations that he is embellishing his fitness worries.

Tottenham should be able to exploit any weaknesses, and have a wealth of quality compared to the oppostion. It should be a very similar story at Fratton Park where Portsmouth entertain a rejuvenated Leicester City side. Nigel Pearson’s first game back in charge of the Foxes ended with a resounding 3-0 triumph over high-flying Crystal Palace. The pre-season promotion favourites could really go on a run now that heavy investment in the squad has seemingly been aligned with a manager that the players believe in.

Pompey have had some success at home, but they occupy 18th spot in the table and their new manager got off to a terrible start. Inexperienced Michael Appleton was a curious appointment, and his first match in charge ended in 2-0 defeat at Watford. To further increase unhappiness on the south coast, owner Vladimir Antonov has now been arrested in an inquiry into asset stripping. Uncertain times for Portsmouth should be exploited by a Leicester side (8/5 Victor) on the up.

Our final pick is one of the form teams in the Championship - Cardiff City (21/20 Victor). The Bluebirds have stormed up to third in the table following an unbeaten run of seven games in all competitions. Nott’m Forest have improved since Steve Cotteril took over, but the 3-0 defeat to Portsmouth in the previous away game served as a wake-up call.

The visitors will surely be dreading Robert Earnshaw popping up to haunt the side he left in the summer. The diminutive forward scored 35 in 87 appearances for Forest and always looks capable at this level. Even if he doesn’t fire, Peter Whittingham is most certainly in the groove having scored in his last four outings for the Welsh side.

VictorChandler have the best odds on the market for Spurs, Leicester and Cardiff winning. Naturally, that makes the treble particularly great value with the same firm at better than 9/1.
