Jewell has got Ipswich firing

Back three sides on decent form to all win at tantalising odds.

Norwich City have competed well against every side they have played since their return to the Premier League. On Saturday they have what Canaries fans will consider to be their home banker of the season. Swansea City head to Carrow Road with some good performances at the Liberty Stadium under their belts; but so far travelling has proved to be problematic. The Welsh side have lost three out of three away games, conceding nine and scoring just once in the process. A home win for Paul Lambert’s side is the first part of a mouthwatering 28/1 treble with Betfred.

For our other picks we delve into the Championship and back two sides with form in their favour. Ipswich head to Cardiff City as a rejuvenated outfit. 10 points from a possible 12 looks impressive enough before we look at the details. In that run, the Tractor Boys saw off Coventry 3-0 before grabbing a point at high-flying Middlesbrough. They then followed that with a merited 1-0 triumph away to promotion favourites West Ham. Most recently they came from behind to beat Brighton 3-1 at Portman Road.

It’s quite simply irresistible form against several of the top sides in the division. 11/4 on an Ipswich win is a great price even before you consider that Cardiff lost their last game and have only won once in five outings. If that wasn’t enough you have the small matter of Michael Chopra returning to Wales looking to prove a point to the club he left in the summer. The former Bluebird netted twice in the second half of that last game against Brighton, so he’ll be raring to go.

The team that beat Cardiff last time out was Hull City. The Tigers are another side on the up, unbeaten in six with four victories in that run. Nigel Pearson has seen his boys clamber into the top six after a slow start, now level on points with Saturday’s opponents Brighton. It may look close in the table, but these are two clubs currently heading in opposite directions. The Seagulls have nose-dived with four defeats and a draw from their last five games in all competitions. With such contrasting recent fortunes, Hull look like another bargain at 5/2 to win at the Amex Stadium.

Betfred offer the best odds for all three of these games indivually, so the combined treble is terrific value. Back Norwich, Ipswich and Hull to win at combined odds of 28/1 with Betfred.
