Saturday Accumulator

If the Hammers are going to win away it will be at a place like the KC Stadium. That's one part of our long-odds treble.

It sounds harsh, but if you’re going to offer me odds of 12/5 on Sheffield Wednesday losing at the moment, I’m going to be all over it. Backing Doncaster to win at Hillsborough is the first part of our 27/1 accumulator with Bet365.

The Owls are still without a win after seven Championship matches and they don’t look to be getting any closer. Boss Dave Jones said the 4-1 hammering at the hands of lowly Birmingham last weekend was “the worst performance I’ve seen from a Sheffield Wednesday side,” and that’s saying something.

Doncaster will relish this Yorkshire derby and after nearly holding Watford in their last away game they should fancy their chances. Rovers have already drawn at Wigan and Huddersfield this term and beaten Blackburn at home so victory here looks achievable.

Second up I’m taking Millwall (6/4) to continue their revival at home to a Leeds team who have lost three on the bounce and four of the last five across all competitions. The Lions look to have turned their season around with back-to-back successes over high-flying Blackpool and then away to Charlton last weekend. Momentum is a powerful force in the Championship.

Finally, I’ll delve back into the Premier League to back West Ham (23/10) to snatch a rare away win at Hull City. The Hammers finished 10th last term partly by sneaking three points on their travels at Stoke, Newcastle and QPR. I put Hull into this bracket of opposition; they have started well but this is the sort of fixture that might expose their naivety at this level.

Sam Allardyce’s men do struggle for goals on the road but a mean defence always gives them hope. It ended 0-0 when they travelled to Newcastle and Southampton already this season but I think they will nick it here to leap up the table.
