Saturday Accumulator

We're taking 3 from the top of the Championship and one at the foot of the Premier League in this acca.

We’re taking four London teams to do the business in front of their own fans this weekend at best combined odds of 18/1 with WilliamHill*.

We start in the Premier League with what is a Harry Redknapp bet - pure and simple. The new QPR boss will need to get his latest ‘houdini act’ off and running quickly and a home encounter with Villa is the perfect opportunity to do so.

The stats make pretty grim viewing for both sides but home advantage should be key with the Loftus Road faithful arriving with some genuine hope for the first time in a while. Redknapp has never lost a Premier League home debut as a manager and he should be boosted by the return of Park Ji-Sung in midfield. Djibril Cisse also has a great scoring record agains the visitors.

For the rest of the accumulator we dive into the Championship to back a trio of southern sides all in great form and occupying the top eight positions in the table. We start with Crystal Palace who can return to the top, at least for 24 hours, with victory over rivals Brighton at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles have only lost once in 16 outings (W11 D4 L1) and the return of top scorer Glen Murray after suspension looks absolutely key. The striker signed on a free transfer from the Seagulls in 2011 and scored against his former club last season and has notched 15 in 15 appearances in 2012-13. He could be the difference.

Next up we’re taking Millwall to win a London derby against Charlton. The Lions have stormed into the promotion picture with a stunning 12-match unbeaten run (W7 D5). Kenny Jacket’s outfit are flying after back-to-back away victories at Blackburn and Wolves completed three clean sheets in a row and four wins on the bounce. The Addicks are in good touch themselves but this looks to owe more to a kinder run of fixtures.

Finally, we are relying on Watford to complete the set against a Barnsley team who are winless in eight. With the Hornets unbeaten in six (W4 D2) this really does look like a home banker. Gianfranco Zola has seen his recruits put six past Leeds and four past Wednesday in recent weeks. One suspects that only complacency could scupper the hosts here.

* Exact odds were 17.91/1 at the time this bet went live.
