San Siro Goal Fest

These teams have only failed to score in 8 of their 51 league games this season. But the bookies are offering 5/6 on a 1/5 shot.

After waiting 38 years to to get back to the San Siro, Tottenham are there for the second time in four months, this time taking on AC Milan.

It is fair to say that both teams have been performing this year, Milan sit top of Serie A while Spurs are enjoying good runs in the Premier and Champions League. Both teams are comitted to free flowing attacking football so neutrals should be in for a treat. When it comes to goals it doesn’t get much better than these two.

In a league that is renowned for defensive football, Milan have been a joy to behold, scoring in 22 out of 25 league games. Head coach Massimiliano Allegri is toying with playing a front three of Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Pato as all of them have been amongst the goals this season.

Spurs haven’t been short of goals themselves, scoring in 21/26 Premier League games and are joint top scorers in the Champions League. It is hard to envisage Harry Redknapp curbing his natural instincts to attack when it has served him so well this season. There is always a chance in a two legged tie that the first game is a cagey affair but at the same stage last year 14 of the 16 teams scored in the first leg.

All the statistic point to goals yet Coral go 5/6 that both team score. When combining AC Milan’s and Tottenham’s goals per game record it should be a 1/5 shot.
