N'Zogbia has led the Wigan bid to stay up.

Wigan have found some form. But is it too little too late in the battle for Premier League survival?

Season Review:
Any Latics fans who didn’t expect their side to be in a relegation scrap at the start of the season have had many months to adapt to that reality. A struggle all the way, recent form has given them hope.

Season Highlight:
Given its potential significance, the final minute of the last game against West Ham. Charles N’Zogbia’s 94th minute winner put the final nail in West Ham’s coffin and gave Wigan two more priceless points.

Season Lowlight:
The first two matches back in August were a 0-4 defeat at home to Blackpool followed by a 0-6 spanking to Chelsea, also at the DW Stadium. At that point Martinez’s side looked like they would be down by Christmas.

Survival Hopes:
Recent form has been encouraging with two wins and two draws in the last five. The problem is that they still have the worst goal difference of the sides in competition on Sunday and they are still 19th. The good news is that a win at Stoke will surely keep them up with 42 points. A draw might even be enough.

Verdict:
Probably left themselves too much to do in the final weeks. Stoke is regarded as an easier game than others have, but Tony Pulis will expect his defeated Cup Final side to go out on a high. Unbeaten at the Brittania Stadium in 2011, Stoke are not exactly the dream opponents Wigan need at this point.
