In a match where Cristiano Ronaldo is priced up at nothing longer than 2/5 (Betfred) to score, it’s hard not to see value in the 4/1 (WilliamHill) available on Burak Yilmaz in the anytime market. After all, they both have eight Champions League goals apiece this season and are joint-leading scorers, alongside Lionel Messi.
We shouldn’t be surprised by those prices when you consider than Galatasaray are massive 16/1 shots (Bet365) to win the first leg in the Bernabeu. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that Real Madrid have conceded in all eight of their fixtures in this competition in 2012-13.
Furthermore, Burak arrives on spectacular form. The Turkish international has found the net in six consecutive Champions League outings, including five in Galatasaray’s last three away games. The 27-year-old fired twice for his club at the weekend and grabbed a couple more for his country over two fixtures immediately before that.
He couldn’t arrive in Spain in better touch and the La Liga champions will underestimate him at their peril.
