Wolves Ready For League Lift-Off
Last season's 'best of the rest,' Wolves will have their squad tested in 2019-20 but they're up to the task. Expect a first league win despite a tough examination from Burnley.
Wolves are a quality side handed a tough start to their campaign as they juggle early season Europa League commitments with testing Premier League fixtures.
They were harshly denied victory at Leicester on the opening weekend, held Man Utd, and have won several continental clashes so results have been pretty encouraging. That said, they kick-off on Sunday in the bottom three and need three points to outline their clear top-10 credentials again.
They won this fixture 1-0 last season and I’m backing another home victory by a one-goal margin here at best odds of 5/2 with Bet365.
The Molineux club rarely thrashed anyone with nine of their 16 league wins coming by a solitary goal. 5 more were by a 2-goal margin but it’s really hard to see Burnley not being well and truly in this match.
Dyche’s boys have looked revived since the turn of the year and shouldn’t be in a relegation scrap this season. But they aren’t quite as good as Wolves, or as potent on the road, so a narrow defeat here looks likely.
