Arsenal have an imperious winning run at home to Stoke dating back 37 years. The best you can say about the visitors is they have stopped getting thumped under Lambert.
Stoke haven’t picked up so much as a draw at Arsenal since 1981 having lost 15 on the bounce and there’s scant reason to think that sequence will end on Sunday.
The Potters may still have the worst defensive record in the top flight but this is one area where Paul Lambert can point to improvement under his management. They haven’t conceded more than 2 in any of his 8 games which doesn’t sound too impressive till you consider they had done that 7 times in 18 league matches before he arrived.

Other results went pretty well for Stoke on Saturday so they are still in touch with the sides above them. A damage limitation exercise to protect morale could be the best they can muster here.
