Under 2.5 Goals Saturday Acca

The lower half of the Premier League looks like being defined by teams who are better at keeping goals out than scoring themselves.

While the Manchester clubs have been dazzling us with their attacking exploits, elsewhere there are a number of clubs who are already struggling in the final third.

We can take advantage today by backing under 2.5 goals in three Premier League matches at a combined best price of 5/1* with BetFair.

Burnley v Huddersfield (8/13):

None of the last four league games for either of these sides has produced more than two goals. Put them together and fireworks are distinctly unlikely! The Clarets have managed just 1 shot on target per home game so far while Town have found the net just twice in four outings since the opening day.

Swansea v Watford: (4/5):

4 of Swansea’s 5 Premier League games so far have produced under 2.5 goals with two goalless draws thrown into the mix. The hosts look tough to beat but rank last for shots on target. Watford are livelier but their 6-0 humbling at the hands of City will have been humbling so expect a cautious, back-to-basics approach here.

Everton v Bournemouth: (21/20):

A surprise bottom three battle and we get odds-against thanks to the expectation that Everton will start banging in the goals. But in reality their 2 goals from 5 matches matches up with their ranking of 19th for shots on target so far. The Cherries rank 18th in the same category and are yet to find the net on the road.

*Exact odds for the treble are 4.98/1 with Betfair.
