Swans Ready For Huge Final Week
The media tend to overlook the detail when a side goes on a bad run. The Carvalhal resurgence was based around home form and Swansea have barely been there for 2 months.
It’s absolute crunch time in the Premier League relegation battle on Tuesday night when 17th play 18th, currently only separated by goal difference and the dreaded dotted line.
The bookies have made Southampton favourites (7/5) - they do have better individual players and their form is superior. Yet I’m going for Swansea to grab a crucial victory at best odds of 9/4 with Bet365.
The Welsh club’s form looks bad but much of that is down to playing 5 of their last 7 matches away. At the Liberty Stadium their only league defeat under Carvalhal since January 2nd was the slender 1-0 loss to Chelsea recently.
Apart from those outings their 2018 home record reads W4 D1 and the Portuguese will doubtless remind his players of that.
A second revival could be coming and you have to wonder what damage that 96th minute Everton goal will have done Southampton.
