Saturday Draw Fest

Charlie Austin could make his debut at Old Trafford. We've picked 3 games to end all square at a big price.

It’s a Premier League Saturday remarkably short of home bankers and we’ve picked out three matches which look like likely draws at a best price of 40/1 with Betfred.

Man Utd (5/2) to draw with Southampton:

We’ve been here before. United looking unconvincing at a short price to win at home, but they did triumph at Anfield last time while Rooney is improving and the defence remains generally resolute. But Southampton won at Old Trafford last term, have won two on the bounce and now have Charlie Austin to add to the mix. A point for the Saints is on the cards.

Watford (13/5) to draw with Newcastle:

A bit like Leicester, the bookies seem to be taking Watford a bit more seriously just as their form has turned. Although they have already beaten this opposition twice this term, the Hornets have now lost 4 league games in a row. Meanwhile the Magpies looked rejuvenated by the arrival of Jonjo Shelvey in the 2-1 win over West Ham last time out.

West Brom (9/4) to draw with Aston Villa:

In a scenario a bit like the game at Vicarage Road, the home side is favourite and higher in the table but it doesn’t tell the whole story. Villa have had a mini-revival after 4 unbeaten games across two competitions while WBA were unusually abject in a 3-0 loss at Southampton. Pulis won’t stand for that, especially in a derby, but with injuries taking their toll he may have to settle for a point.
