Feelings around these clubs are dramatically different at the moment with Everton openly targeting Europa League qualification while people are starting to talk about Palace as a relegation candidate. But they only remain separated by 3pts when all said and done.

The Eagles are on a bad run, and have just lost twice at home in a row without scoring, but we all know they set up more effectively on their travels. At best odds of 13/10 with Coral, they are worth a look in the handicap market +1 goal.

This means we win if Palace win, or draw, and their away record remains solid after consecutive draws with Man City, Norwich and Southampton since the turn of the year. Overall they have only lost twice on the road since mid-September, thanks to a resolute defence.

It’s a game of fine margins. Everton are on good form, but each of their last four wins have come by the odd goal. Besides which they have drawn recently with West Ham and Newcastle so they’re not exactly ground-breaking under Ancelotti just yet.
