Reality Check

Spurs are having a club record-breaking season that has only really seen stumbles against the top two and sides who set out to frustrate them. If United come to play then the hosts will be right in their comfort zone and should emerge victorious.

It’s hard to imagine how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can adopt a more defensive approach on Sunday when throwing caution to the wind has brought him such early success and provided a welcome contrast with Jose Mourinho’s approach.

But a sense of adventure could really play into the hands of Tottenham who have only really struggled at Wembley when sides have attempted to shut up shop and sucker-punch them.

When sides come at them, it tends to go rather well for Pochettino’s boys. Last season they thumped Liverpool 4-1 when that happened, this season they blew Chelsea away 3-1 and let’s not forget the 0-3 success at Old Trafford back in August.

United have let in 32 goals in the league already, and for all the improvement they still conceded against Cardiff, Huddersfield and Bournemouth.

I’m backing Spurs to win and over 3.5 goals in this match at best odds of 4/1 with Boylesports.

Seven of the Red Devils’ last eight league outings have produced 4 goals or more. On this occasion, it just feels like the majority of them will go to their opponents and the revival will gain some perspective.
