Premier League Treble

United can go joint-top ahead of Sunday's big showdown, while West Ham can keep impressing, and Southampton can bounce back from humiliation.

Paddypower have a boosted 9/1 on Southampton, West Ham and Manchester United winning on Saturday, and it stacks up as far more likely than those odds.

Newcastle v Southampton:

It may be tough to back a team who just lost 9-0, but the Saints have shown they know exactly how to bounce back from that scoreline! Take the season as a whole, and they are undeniably the better team. This feels like a problematic fixture for Newcastle, who know this, yet will be expected to do well due to recent events. They can’t just sit back, and that won’t suit this Magpies’ side against fired up visitors.

Fulham v West Ham:

I’ve under-estimated this West Ham team for too long but David Moyes has worked wonders and they are top-5 on merit. Recent away victories at Palace and Villa were fully merited and Fulham are still bottom three for a reason. It feels like their chances of a great escape are fading after failing to hold on at West Brom before being beat at home to Leicester. No league win since November can’t be defended any longer.

Man Utd v Everton:

Although I expect the Saints to respond well, I have no qualms about backing their 9-0 victors to have enough here. The confidence will be seeping through the United squad now and Everton are credible but fallible opponents. The Toffees were lacklustre against Newcasle while the victory over Leeds was somewhat fortuitous.
