Pochettino Poised To Walk Away
Southampton's boss has seen the man who brought him to the club leave and has threatened to resign over the issue.
The odds on Mauricio Pochettino becoming the next top flight boss to depart have crashed from 100/1 to nothing longer than 6/5 (Betfred) in the space of 24 hours.
The market shake-up appears to be directly linked to the departure of Saints chairman Nicola Cortese, confirmed just hours ago. In May 2013 Pochettino was quoted as saying: I would not understand staying in this role if Nicola was not here.”
Southampton fans will hope that when push comes to shove, the 41-year-old will find other reasons to continue in his post.
