Everton Will Struggle To Stop Hammer Time

Andy Carroll returns to a side that has won four in a row and are keeping clean sheets for fun.

Betfred offer best odds of 7/1 on West Ham triumphing at Everton this weekend, an exciting price when you consider they have taken the spoils four times on the bounce. However, there’s even better value in taking a punt on a scoreline; the Hammers are 22/1 to win 1-0 with Coral, which is out on a limb and overly generous.

The Londoners’ recent revival has been built on a watertight defence. Sam Allardyce has masterminded four cleans in the last five outings; league leaders Chelsea couldn’t even find the net at Stamford Bridge. West Ham have now kept the most clean sheets in the top flight (13).

Everton are having a little dip themselves and will struggle to match their visitors for confidence based on the form. The Toffees have lost three of their last four in the league, admittedly to top sides, but a lack of goals has been the main problem.

Roberto Martinez has seen his boys lose 1-0 twice in a row. At a huge price, he could suffer a most unwelcome hat-trick.
