Callum Capable With Gunners Culpable

Mesut Ozil has been well and truly frozen out by Unai Emery now. The news cycle could become far more critical of the Arsenal boss if his team's defensive frailties catch up with him.

Arsenal are currently beneficiaries of the tribulations at Spurs and Manchester United, with their own shortcomings slipping under the radar. The league table looks ok for Emery, but trouble looms large beneath the surface.

This is because the Gunners still rank worst in the Premier League for shots faced - an average of 18 per match. They’re largely getting away with their dubious defending for now, but they could have quite conceivably lost to Spurs, Watford, Villa and Man Utd.

As it is they have had just one victory in five league matches and kept just one clean sheet in 12 outings. With all this I’m backing Callum Wilson to break the deadlock in this match at best odds of 9/1 with PaddyPower. We’ll go each-way so we can get paid out at 1/5th odds if he scores any of goals 2-5 instead.

The England striker has enjoyed facing these opponents in the past with 3 goals in 4 appearances. The 27-year-old is in a rich vein of form after finding the net 5 times in his last 4 top flight fixtures.
