Benteke A Bargain To Score At 9/2

The Belgian international went on a hot streak in the second half of last season. His goal against Arsenal could get him on another roll.

Liverpool may be merited huge favourites on Saturday evening, but a Christian Benteke who may just have his confidence back is massively overpriced at best odds of 9/2 (Betfred) to score anytime.

The Belgian international ended his goal drought against Arsenal on Monday night and thus demonstrated again his tendency to score against the top sides in the land. He also found the net twice against the Gunners on the opening day of the season and struck against Chelsea a few days later.

The 23-year-old was also a scourge for Liverpool in 2012-13. He grabbed a double in this fixture last December as Villa stormed to an unexpected 3-1 victory at Anfield. He then fired in what proved to be a consolation goal in the reverse fixture at Villa Park.

Benteke scored 23 times for Villa last term and may just be set to go on another run now. The Reds have only conceded one goal fewer than their opponents, and have only managed three clean sheets in their last 18 league outings. At a big price the Villa forward is surely bound to get his chances.
