Aston Villa v Everton Tip

The Villains' star man is back and should be raring to go.

It’s the battle of the Belgians at Villa Park on Saturday as Christian Benteke hopes to star for the hosts against international team-mate Romelu Lukaku, who turns out for Everton.

The Toffees man is worth considering at 6/4 (Bet365) in the anytime goalscorer betting but in the same market I’ll favour Benteke at the superior price of 15/8 with StanJames.

The former Genk striker came off the bench to return from injury against Spurs last week and he should start after a further week’s training. The 22-year-old bagged a brace at Goodison Park in February and he hasn’t really looked back in 2013.

This season he has effectively scored five in five games across all competitions for Villa having gone off early against Norwich and returned late versus Tottenham. Having found the net against Chelsea and Arsenal the quality of opposition shouldn’t be a concern for us either.

All 11 of Benteke’s shots in 2013-14 so far have come from inside the box. So when he has an effort on goal is tends to be a premium opportunity and a high percentage of the time he takes it.
