Mancini's side are joint top

Man United dropped points at the weekend and their rivals all closed the gap.

It was a good week for the chasing pack in the title race with Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal all winning. Meanwhile reigning champions Man Utd drew with Stoke and have been joined on 16 points by their local rivals. The Red Devils have been eased to a best price of 10/11 with Boylesports. Mancini’s side are now well established as second favourites for the big prize at 12/5 with Bet365.

Fernando Torres continues to receive mixed headlines despite scoring a couple lately and that may go some way to explaining best odds of 5/1(Coral) on Chelsea re-claiming the crown they last won in 2010. After that we really get into the long odds with Liverpool (40/1 Totesport), Arsenal (50/1 Coral) and Tottenham (66/1 Boylesports) not given much of a chance by the bookies.

The real battle between those three is thought to be for that prized top four finish. Dalglish’s men are favoured at 5/4 with StanJames with the Gunners 7/4 with the same firm. Harry Redknapp may wonder why his improving side are still nothing shorter than 7/4 with Totesport.

At the other end it’s promoted Swansea (4/6) who are still most hotly tipped for the drop back down. The alarm bells are yet to ring for the current bottom two however. Basement boys Bolton are 7/2 with VictorChandler for relegation with West Brom even longer at 11/2 with Coral.
