Norwich v Tottenham Football Tip

Spurs come to a Holt

Spurs are starting to lose form as the injuries mount up whereas Norwich are full of confidence.

We discussed in our ‘key players’ article, how vital certain players are to their team. Ledley King is the fulcrum of the Tottenham defence and with games coming thick and fast over the Christmas period he is rated a doubt for the Norwich game.

One player doesn’t make a team but there are signs that many of Harry Redknapp’s vital players are going off the boil. Luka Modric had one of his least effective games against Chelsea last week and fellow playmakers Bale, Lennon and Van de Vaart have all been recent injury doubts.

The concern is that these niggles are starting to impact on Tottenham’s form. Perhaps unlucky to lose against Stoke, they laboured to beat Sunderland at home. Then having taken an early lead against Chelsea they were fortunate not to lose the game. For the first time in almost three months they are lacking their usual verve and look vulnerable.

On Tuesday they face a Norwich team in top form. Their only defeat in the last five games was away to Man City and they have maximum points from their last two home games. In Grant Holt they have a goalscorer in prime form and the whole team is full of attacking intent. Their last 10 games have yielded 20 goals.

With home advantage I rate Norwich slight favourites to win the game but the betting has it the other way round. I think that is wrong, so make the most of a Norwich win at 15/4 with Boylesports.
