No Quarter Given
Portugal defended for their lives against Croatia and they should find Poland a similarly tough nut to crack.
The first quarter final is a tough one to call and we could do plenty worse than back Poland to qualify at best odds of 6/4 with Bet365. The Portuguese are favourites based purely on reputation having failed to win any of their four matches over 90 minutes to date.
However, the better bet at a much bigger 11/2 is to back ‘no goalscorer’ in 90 minutes with WilliamHill.
Poland have only conceded one goal so far - a spectacular overhead kick from Shaqiri - but they’re also the lowest scorers in the last eight with just three.
The Iberians will probably see little point in changing the spoiling tactics which saw them edge past much fancied Croatia. That match didn’t produce a shot on target until the 117th minute.
This looks sure to be another slugfest and we would even get paid out if just an own goal sneaks in.
