Next Tottenham Manager Odds

Tim Sherwood is 11/4 favourite to be the next permanent Tottenham manager after he was put in temporary charge following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas.

Andre Villas-Boas became the fifth Premier League manager to lose his job on Monday and the betting for his replacement has already taken shape. We take a look at those prominent in the market.

Tim Sherwood – 11/4 Paddy Power
Technical co-ordinator Tim Sherwood has been placed in temporary charge and could make a compelling case for the job if he gets some quick results.

Michael Laudrup – 6/1 Betfred
Made a big impression during his first season at Swansea winning the Capital One Cup and taking the South Wales team into Europe. The 49-year-old stayed loyal during the summer when there was speculation he might leave.

Glenn Hoddle – 6/1 Bet365
The former England manager is willing to take on the job and is close to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy. However, Hoddle hasn’t managed since he left Wolves in June 2006.

Fabio Capello – 10/1 Bet365
Another former England manager in the frame but it would be surprising if he left his role as manager of Russia having just got them to the World Cup finals.

Best of the rest
With the top managers in Europe either in jobs or preparing for a World Cup the pool of available talent looks thin. Harry Redknapp’s return looks unlikely at 50/1 (Bet365) with perhaps Marcelo Bielsa the best of the outsiders at 50/1 (BetVictor).

The former Argentina and Chile manager has achieved something of a cult status with his innovative tactics and his record with Athletic Bilbao was impressive, taking them to the Europa League and Copa del Rey finals in 2012.
