Mourinho Feels Heat Of Red Pepe
Lionel Messi rose above a tempestuous affair to put Barcelona on the brink of another Wembley final after Los Blancos had another man sent off.
The Bernabeu was the stage for amateur dramatics night during a fractious Champions League semi final. As expected Real Madrid sat back and allowed Barcelona to dominate possession, a plan that worked until Pepe was sent off for a foul on Dani Alves. A furious Jose Mourinho also saw red after protesting the decision.
A game that could have descended into farce was saved by a star turn from Lionel Messi. Two second half goals, including a wondrously mazy dribble, means the Catalan club have one foot in the final. The odds on a Barcelona / United showdown are 1/20 with Paddypower.
There is bound to be plenty of fallout from the game, but Mourinho has six days to mastermind a turnaround. His Real team are 16/1 to find a way to qualify for the final.
