Montenegro v England Tip

This Juve striker is on decent goalscoring form for club and country while England are light at the back.

Montenegro boss Birko Brnovic may be getting a little carried away when he accuses England of potentially being “scared” of their trip to Podgorica on Tuesday night but he does have a point.

Brnovic, clearly enjoying the limelight, observed that “we will maybe park a bus in defence, but we also have two Ferraris in attack.” He refers to Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic and Juventus star Mirko Vucinic. The pair have lit up Serie A and the latter looks a particularly decent bet to score anytime at best odds of 29/10 with BetVictor.

Vucinic has scored 14 times in 30 appearances for his country and most recently grabbed the winner in Moldova on Friday night. That made it two in two for the 29-year-old who also found the net in his most recent outing for Juve.

The 6ft 1in forward is enjoying one of his best goalscoring seasons to date in Italy as he plays a key role in his side’s latest title bid. He is even more pivotal for Montenegro having also scored against Poland during this qualifying campaign already.

The Serie A hotshots will fancy their chances of causing trouble to a potential England central defensive pairing of Joleon Lescott and Chris Smalling who are short of international experience and time playing together. It would be a surprise if Hodgson’t team lost but a clean sheet also seems unlikely, with Vucinic most likely to prosper.
