Manchester Utd v Galatasaray Tip

Utd had some bad defensive times last season.

This 29-year-old Turkish international has scored 8 in 8 and United were defensively vulnerable in Europe throughout last season.

If anyone is going to upset the apple cart at Old Trafford on Wednesday night it is surely Umut Bulut. The Turkish international has scored 8 times in 8 appearances so far this season and therefore looks presentable value at best odds of 9/2 (Bluesquare) in the anytime market.

The Galatasaray striker has been scoring for fun in 2012-13 and has the acceleration and work ethic to give United some uncomfortable moments, especially with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones out long term at the back.

The Red Devils are nothing longer than 1/3 (PaddyPower) to win this one but Fergie’s boys have only actually emerged victorious in 3 of their last 11 European outings.

I don’t anticipate another United slip-up here but a clean sheet could easily go begging again. Last season at Old Trafford, Basel and Bilbao both scored 3, while Benfica and Ajax bagged 2 apiece. If Galatasaray continue that trend then Umut Bulut could cash in for us at pretty long odds.
