Manchester Sides Drift In Betting

United and City win but, fail to impress the bookmakers. Both have drifted in the outright betting for the Champions League

Man City have been cut to 5/6 (Bet365) to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League. A 93rd minute winner from Sergio Aguero delivered the crucial three points. City are now one point behind second placed Napoli but still face a trip to Italy in the fifth round of fixtures.

Manchester United are 1/25 (Bet365) to qualify from group C after two second-half penalties from Wayne Rooney broke the stubborn resistance of Otelul Galati. United can reach the last 16 by winning their next two games, both at Old Trafford.

In a curious paradox both Manchester teams have drifted in the outright betting, despite their odds of getting out the group stages being cut. United are best price 15/2 (Bluesq) having generally been 13/2. Man City are as big as 16/1 (Coral) having been a 14/1 chance.
