League Cup: Crawley v Bolton

Broadfield Stadium

Town are outsiders simply because of league status, but a Wanderers reserve team should hold no fears.

Crawley Town are already a team renowned for recent Cup exploits and they should be confident of adding another scalp when Bolton Wanderers visit Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday night. With Owen Coyle clearly intent on playing a raft of reserves, best odds of 15/8 (Ladbrokes) on the home win look like a gift.

The Trotters boss had this to say: “This is our fourth game in 10 days, so I’ll be looking to freshen things up. The tie offers us the chance to give a run out to players who haven’t featured yet.”

Newly promoted Crawley would probably fancy their chances even against the first team. The Reds have won two of three outings in League One and knocked out Championship Millwall in the last round at the Den on penalties.
