It was goalless at the Lane and these two have even more reasons to sit on a draw this time.
Having already tipped the draw here, I think we can rule out a high-scoring encounter so there’s value in adding a correct score wager to the portfolio. It was 0-0 when these two teams met at White Hart Lane; a repeat at the Stadio Olimpico is a mouth-watering 11/1 with Ladbrokes.
It may seem strange to predict a clean sheet for Spurs after they conceded five to Arsenal, but I think that will ensure that good defending is a priority for AVB in Rome. The Londoners have travelled with a strong squad and, as I have already said, they would surely take a draw with Panathinkaikos at home still to come.
But the key to this bet is Lazio. They don’t let many in - just twice in six European games this season - but they also don’t tend to score many against English opponents (none in their last three). Biancazzurri claimed a credible 0-0 draw away to Juventus last weekend which shows their credentials to tough it out.
The 0-0 seems virtually as likely as 1-1 (6/1 WilliamHill) so therefore the 11/1 with Ladbrokes feels like a gift.
